c.1950 Cohn, Sparkling "Sure-Shot" Machine Gun in Original Box
Superb embossed multicolored lithographed tinplate hand crank sparkling machine gun. Beautiful near mint working condition complete with original illustrated box. Extensively detailed with cross-hatched grips and stock, red, yellow and black embossed barrel with four cooling holes on each side, wooden crank handle and original (and easily removable) flint holder. Folded metal edges all the way around for safety and strength. Makes a loud RAT-TAT-TAT sound as the sparks fly from the barrel. Box illustration shows a rather intent young lad joyfully cranking off a few rounds, while his sister (presumably) smiles cheerfully. Still has original 93¢ price sticker from Hobby Lane in Hackensack, NJ. Size: 20" x 5". Sold: Aug. 2005
